Review: HynE Anti Age Crème
A long while back, last fall to be precise, I was attending a beauty trade show where I encountered this brand. They were offering champagne, so I was drawn like a moth to a flame. It turns out HynE is a new Swedish brand whose key ingredient is fermented hyaluronic acid – interesting, I thought. Very interesting. There’s a lot of buzz around fermentation right now, and hyaluronic acid is considered a star ingredient on its own, so when the founder offered me a sample to try out I said yes.
I tested this cream with some trepidation, as I go on and on about how easily I break out. These concerns were unfounded. The cream is rich and light at the same time, and absorbs into the skin without being greasy or cloying. It’s very hydrating and plumping, and I find you need very little. My face loves this stuff.
The jar is unassuming and medical-looking, the contents offer no exotic colours or fragrances – it’s straight up hydration and softening of the skin that works. I vouch for it with my greaseball skin, and I imagine someone drier would appreciate it even more. It’s got no particular claims other than deep, consistent hydration – no actives – it’s just a solid moisturizer that does the job exceptionally well.
THE RUNDOWN – HynE Anti Age Crème
Size: 30ml/1 oz
Pros: Deeply moisturizing and hydrating without being too heavy. Fragrance free. Cruelty free & indie. A little goes a long way.
Cons: Relatively pricy. Unsexy packaging.
Would I repurchase? Yes. It’s my favourite face cream so far.
